Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian man who tested positive for Ebola on US soil becoming the country’s
first case, has died
Duncan
reportedly succumbed to the disease on Wednesday, October 8 after his condition deteriorated and he had to be put on a ventilator
and a kidney dialysis machine.

reports that a spokesperson for the Texas
Health Presbyterian Hospital has confirmed the Liberian's
death.
Duncan
was diagnosed with Ebola on September 30 after arriving Dallas, Texas on
September 20. He was said to have entered into critical condition on October 4 before passing on today.
The
deceased initially went to the hospital when he became symptomatic but was sent
away with just antibiotics despite stating that he had been to disease-ravaged
Liberia.
Duncan
is the first person to die of Ebola in the US.
