The
commercial motorcyclist was arrested for the murder in Lagos and arraigned in
court
The police in Lagos have arrested a commercial
motorcyclist, aka Okada rider, after he was accused of killing a passenger.
According
to reports, Tashiru Ibrahim stabbed one Sofia Olayiwola to death over a N50
fare. The deceased was said to have given the suspect 500 to pay for his ride
but somehow an argument ensued.continue..
The
prosecutor of the case, Corporal Ishola Samuel told an Ebute Metta court that
Ibrahim went into a fit of rage and stabbed the victim with a dagger.
Samuel
said:
“The deceased gave the accused N500 and to collect change
of N450, the accused claimed not to have change. “
"The accused and the deceased had an argument which
led into a fight,the accused brought out dagger and stabbed the deceased on his
left leg."
“The deceased was rushed to Grand ville medical
centre,Nikola for treatment but he died the following day.”
The
accused has been charged with murder and the case was adjourned to the 3rd of
September.
