Footballing magicians Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were up to their old tricks on Sunday night as the duo pulled off a cheeky penalty in Barcelona's 6-1 thrashing of Celta Vigo, but on closer inspection it looks the strike should have been ruled out.
When
Barcelona's talismanic Argentinian striker was fouled in the box he
dusted himself down and stepped up to the plate only to pass the ball to
the onrushing Suarez who coolly slotted home.
However,
replays show that the bizarre goal should have been disallowed as
Messi's Uruguayan strike partner was in the box before the ball was
played meaning that he was committing encroachment.
