Mercy Aigbe reacts to reports that hubby was beaten

Some viral reports say Mercy Aigbe-Gentry’s husband, Lanre was beaten to a pulp, by Gov. Mimiko’s SA named Bashorun Akinloye Akinboni, on November 26, 2014 at his hotel premises in Ikeja, Lagos. He was beaten for trying to play smart with Bahorun. 

The reports claimed Bashorun paid Lanre Gentry rent but the former turned around and rented out same house to gospel artiste Atorise. 

“So when Bashorun Akinloye Akinboni went to his hotel last night and coincidentally met Atorise there, an argument ensued and Bashorun Akinloye Akinboni lost his temper and pounced on Larry Gent beating him to a Pulp. When the beating got too much and blood was gushing from all his body” the reports claimed. 

We contacted Mercy Aigbe and she responded thus:

I don’t know what the person/ people who started the rumour hoped to achieve with the story but I wish him/her/them all the best.
