Ekiti State is in feverish mood, the
people are worried and wondering if their choice would be denied. But
the Senate President , David Mark, on Thursday said
notwithstanding the recent developments in Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose
would be inaugurated as the Governor of Ekiti State on October 16.
Mark stated this at the Presidential
Villa, Abuja, at an event where Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State formally
defected to the Peoples Democratic Party from the Labour Party.
Fayose had been in the eye of the
storm lately, with several attacks from his political opponents.
The state Chief Judge of Ekiti
State, Justice Ayodeji Daramola, has tabled before the National Judicial
Council a petition accusing him and the police of complicity in the attack on
judges in the state.
But Mark said in spite of the antics
going on in Ekiti, Fayose would be sworn in come October 16.
