Fear of Ebola 'Infected' Passenger Sparks Panic On Packed Plane

With the current Ebola crisis causing worldwide concern, it’s probably best not to joke about having it on a packed plane.

An American flying from the US to the Dominican Republic caused panic after he sneezed loudly and yelled: “I have Ebola!”

Despite his attempts to explain that it was just a stupid joke and when the plane landed he was confronted by men wearing hazardous waste suits and oxygen masks to take him into quarantine.

On the video shot by one of the passengers you can see nervous passengers covering their mouths and a stewardess can be heard trying to calm them down, telling: “I need your attention – this is going to look worse than it is.”

Seconds later, the men in overalls board the Boeing 777 and the unnamed 54-year-old joker was escorted off the plane, he could be heard saying: “I ain’t from Africa. S***.”

Some time later officials confirmed that after series of tests and thorough screening it was found that the man who sparked the panic did not have Ebola.
