One of the dangers of having
unprotected sex is the risk of getting a urinary tract infection (UTI).
Though UTIs don’t always manifest
with recognizable symptoms, when they do, they may include a strong, persistent
urge to urinate, a burning sensation when urinating, cloudy urine,
red, blood in the urine, strong-smelling urine, pelvic pain in women and rectal
pain in men.
It is a fact that 75% of UTIs
are triggered by sex. continue...
The simplest and best protection you
can have against it, especially for women, is urinating immediately after
sexual intercourse because it helps prevent bacteria from moving into
the urethra and also push the bacteria out of the male urinary tract
In addition to urinating, both men
and women should make it a habit to wash the genitals before and immediately
after sex.
It may seem to be a lot of effort,
but it is worth it is a very common health issue that may still occur despite
your ‘impeccable’ personal hygiene.
You must however note that taking a
shower or urinating after sex will not stop a woman from getting pregnant if
sperm has already entered her uterus.
If you feel a burning sensation
while peeing or you pee too many times, then Wha’anda suggests
you knock on a doctor’s door right away.
